Preparing Your Items

Clothing

The better they look, the better they sell! Please take time to wash and iron your clothes if necessary. Check for stains, broken zippers, torn hemlines, etc. We will be double checking at the sale and will not receive any item that is not in excellent condition.

Hang items on hangers so that when you are looking at it the top of the hanger looks like a question mark and put the tag on the right hand side as you are looking at it. This allows us to best display all clothing for easier browsing and uniform stocking. Use hangers that create a tidy presentation. We want only the highest quality items and prefer name brands such as Gymboree, Baby Gap, Pea In The Pod, Hollister, etc. All pants must be pinned to a hanger, not folded over, as they cannot be easily viewed by shoppers and tend to end up on the floor. We have found the best way to group outfits is to hang them on two hangers, use packing tape to attach the hangers together and safety pin all sets and accessories securely together. With pants hung on the back of the shirt at the waist. Both pieces need to be viewable without unpinning them. Also, please bundle sizes together and put a rubber band around the hangers of each size. This really helps to expedite setup.

Shoes

Please only bring your like-new shoes. We have found two good ways to tag shoes. Either place them in a ziploc bag and tape the tag to the bag or tie the shoes together using a ribbon of some sort. Put your tag on the ribbon, too.

Bedding

If you have kept the original clear plastic packaging for your bedding that’s your best bet. Otherwise You can place them in large ziploc bags with the tag attached either inside or outside, just so it’s secure. If you have larger items and no longer have the original packaging you can always put them over a heavy duty hanger so they are easily viewed.

Loose Items

NEW Bottles, bibs, rattles, socks, bows, etc group together appropriately in ziploc bags. Seal with clear packing tape. Pin tag to ziploc bag. It also helps to write your consignor number and info on the ziploc with a Sharpee in case the tag comes off during the sale.

Toys, Furniture, Equipment

Must be clean and in working order (batteries included.) Small parts must be bagged and attached to the main part very securely. If parts get separated it will not sell. Games should be taped closed. Puzzles, books, videos and small toys should be grouped accordingly and put in ziploc bags. Secure with clear packing tape on the ziploc bag. Puzzles should be wrapped securely in clear Saran wrap to keep the pieces intact. TOYS NOT PACKAGED APPROPRIATELY WILL BE TURNED AWAY.

Large Little Tikes Toys and Furniture are in high demand! When tagging large toys it is best to also attach a piece of masking tape to the toy with your consignor information. This will enable us to sell your toy even if the tag comes off!
